Movement have made some beautiful skis over this past few years, Movement aim to instil their energy and passion into all their products. 2009 sees an expanded range with plenty of skis in there for mere mortal advanced skiers along with my favourites such as the Goliath and Thunder which do require a slightly more experienced hand.
Movement skis are very well engineered, use great quality woods and they tune the flex to perfection for some of the best freeride, style and just just “freeskis” for the whole mountain - check out the Movement reviews and let me know what you think.
Happy days.

I spent last winter in Chamonix and wanted a touring ski that would be light enough to ease the pain of going uphill, but with the priority being on performance in the descent. I settled on the Shaman and was lucky enough to get a pair of the ‘09 Movement Shaman in February ‘08 (’08 model were already sold out locally, which tells you something!) It is simply a fantastic ski; fast, responsive and very, very lightweight. However, they did take a bit of getting used to after a season on Rossignol B2s as the Shaman have a mind of their own and demand a dynamic style of skiing. My previous touring ski was a pair of Volkl Snowwolf and whilst easy to ski, light and great in powder they slid and chattered around on hardpacked snow and the edges weren’t great. No such complaint with the Shaman. They float in powder, cut through crud and cling to ice and they way nothing. True I have fitted dynafit bindings to make them as light as possible, but even with a diamir freedride binding they would have to be one of the lightest skis you can buy. I love them and can’t wait for the snow to fall . . .
